Here are my vintage machines. The treadle was purchased at an auction a few years ago. The "Little Beauty" was my aunt's toy machine. She would have played with it in the 1920's. The Little Beauty was made in Germany

OK, I'll wade in. I've posted these individually before. I thought I had a pic of the Rocketeer, but I can't find it. I'll try to add it later.

I agree - it's so fun to see everything.

Awesome thread! I have a Damascus Grand treadle (Montgomery Ward), a Singer golden Touch 'N' Sew (inherited from my mom), and a Singer toy machine (electric). Don't have the details handy at the moment, but will have when I get pics taken and posted. Thanks for this thread, Billy!

My first machine is a National Sewing Machine Company Vibrating Shuttle treadle. The "Damascus" name was manufactured for Montgomery Ward. The serial number is 3209025. I don't know exactly in which year it was made. There is no list for NSMCo machines like there is for Singer. I'm guessing in the 1920s.

My second machine is a Singer 128K Hand Crank, manufactured in Scotland on Feb 2, 1927, serial number Y4467698.

My third machine is a Singer 221 Featherweight, manufactured in Elizabeth, NJ on January 24, 1940, serial number AF741157.

Beautiful machines. I have never heard of a vibrating shuttle. Love the cabinet for the treadle. :)

Two of my oldest Singer sewing machines:
"Nettie" is a treadle (G529567) She was born around 1910. A Russian immigrant bought her when she came to this country around 1920. Nettie has been in the family ever since helping the seamtresses earn a living for 4 generations. The last owner was placed in a nursing home 1 year ago and Nettie was set aside. I found her and bought her back to life. She has a lot of battle scars, but I love them all. I love sewing on her.
"Little Ginie" is a model 99 (AM 486827). I call her Ginie because she is the best invention since the cotton gin. What a hard little worker she is. And she is small enough to carry to class.

This is/was Abby, born in 1951 and in pristine condition. Unfortunately due to financial issues we had to part ways. She found a loving new home with a stuffed animal maker. We keep in touch still. lol
