A close up of Kermit (yes, I named it Kermit, as a bit of a joke towards my Quebecois fiance. The machine was made in Quebec and is green. haha) Going to change the belt (is there a standard size for the 185?) and maybe get a metal spool holder.

I wish I could answer the belt question. Belts have become a pitb lately. You got a fine deal. Wiring can be ok but as a caution and since some people are pretty worried about wiring, you might get it rewired.

I'm hoping all is in tact with the wiring. Looks great from the photos. Anyhow, the seller said is in excellent working condition, minus the belt issue. eBay has excellent customer protection if the seller is fibbing.

GroovyEyeDesignes,
I "had" a 185J. Bought it from a QB member down south of me. Then after servicing it my wife tried it and said: "It's mine, I'm gonna keep it." Well, so much for that.
You can use a 193077 belt. That's what I put on mine.
