Fascinating! I had heard that some homes were not wired except for light bulbs in the ceiling. If electrical appliances were needed, the ceiling socket needed to be used. I would love to see that "strange electrical connection" even though the part to screw into the socket is no longer there. Will you post a picture please?

My 128 (Lillian) has a very strange electrical connection. They are small round pieces that plug into each other. I've never seen anything like it before.
And the instruction book says to screw the end of the cord into a light socket and turn on the switch. That part has been changed, as I can plug it into an ordinary outlet.

The ones I usually find are in such bad shape that I bypass them and rewire completely.

LOL! How inventive of them! I could swear the last one I had had 2 pins in each connector. I'll have to ask my neighbor, I gave the machine to him and he redid it and has now been bitten by the bug as well!
