Ditto what Steve has said here. CD was being sarcastic. It happens occasionally here. Mostly, we do a good job on checking ourselves. Not that I was the poster being replied to but I took CD's comments with the grain of salt I'm sure was intended.

That's not sarcasm. It's CD acknowledging the other poster's admission that s/he was speculating and not commenting from direct knowledge. I don't see how that's rude.
