Default What Can You Tell Me About This Singer?

I am not interested in buying. Too far away. However......I never saw one like this and want to know more. The listing does not give me anything to go on to google so I turn here! Thanks. http://flint.craigslist.org/atq/4813602691.html

Looks like an industrial treadle to me but I'm no expert by any stretch. Didn't see where there were other photos to get a real perspective...but it's a very long/late day for me.

I don't know but for the money I would be whining and carrying on until my wife let me go get it.

seems like there was one of these posted in the last few weeks. I can't make out the model number.

    It's not a treadle

With that bar across the front, could it be some sort of hemstitcher?

yes it seems like that other one turned to be a hemming machine . I've never seen a stand like that one, that would be worth 50 alone lolol. Then that hand wheel would be great one of my 16-188

dang theres the bobbin winder, the 31 series machine have a mount no one ever seems to know why or what, recently it was brought up that it may have been for a bobbin winder. like the early 15's have (improved family )

I believe it may be a Singer model 32 coverstitch machine. According to Needlebar.org, the 32-1 had a 1/4 wide needle throw for zigzag, and there were other submodels up to a 32-62 for edges of Hat Sweats.

    Neat industrial power stand!

I'm with Miriam - too far to drive! It's not for hemstitching - that machine is way more complicated looking!

Though the stand that goes with this machine is very similar, I have it out of the box but not assembled yet.

DH said he'd love to get a buttonhole machine, or one that does bar tacks.

That sure looks like it! So, a coverstitch machine is a early serger, sort of?
