You lucky ones, there is not such things as a 5$ sewing machine in my area. People will not bother to post an ad for less than 40-50$!

For $5. plus shipping, if nothing else you have a spare. And if she only wants to dabble a little so be it. Looks like it has the manual anyway. If it's complete go for it.

Great price ,I have mine like her she's a jewel, bought it in 1958/9 , should work good for a starter.

I would buy it in a heart beat for $5.00 bucks. You could always resale it just for parts and get your money back on it or just resale it to someone who knows how to fix things if not broken too bad. I just love working on old sewing machine, by no means I am no professional just love to tinker on things.
