Depending on who you ask (me!) I've been very good this year so for Christmas, December 25th also happens to be my birthday. Usually I want books or fabric/fiber but this year I asked Santa for Amazon gift cards so I could finally buy sm repair supplies and tools. I also got a soldering gun, a Dremel and wire cutters. Those were all older models I got on ebay. I'm a happy camper!

I got my Christmas present early...a few months back. It was only 10 bucks (after the seller called me back after I said no thanks, and told me to name my price as she HAD to get rid of it). I had to convince my husband that it would be a Christmas gift to get him to let me bring it home, lol.
It's finally all cleaned up, but still trying to get it up and working properly, I'm sure I will eventually...especially with all the kind and knowledgeable people on here always willing to help out. I will admit though, it felt like a Christmas present when I found some attachments, feet, and other do-dads in a hidden cubby in the cabinet of my 'early present'. Up until now, I've only read about people getting so lucky...now I'm happy to report I have a small story of my own. To me, those are the best gifts anyway.

My adult children almost cleaned out my Amazon Wish List of goodies. I even got a movie to watch while I sew and a new electric toothbrush to get the "snacks" cleaned out. LOL Not in the photo is an even larger mat for the cutting table in my garage, and 2 new extra firm sleeping pillows.

Wow Jackie! You've got a lot of really nice things there! I never thought of making an Amazon wish list. What a great idea!

Well, I got the Singer 201 my son pulled out of the garage! He got some new clothes and has ordered some of the parts we need to get the 201 up and running! Everything is lookng good on it right now, but the Presser Foot bar is still stuck, truly stuck. It's amazing to me that is stuck like that but the needle bar moves quite freely! If I ever get to the point I can be more active, I hope to get some more things done -- I am working on assembling a quilt top.

I'm going this afternoon for another procedure on my back. I sure hope it works!

The old, beater family hauler that I used to haul machines ('91 Subaru Legacy wagon) has transmission issues and so we've decided to finally replace it, though we will miss it terribly. (What stories we can tell about how it came through for us again and again.)

So, a newer hauler has been purchased, a Subaru B9 Tribeca! Perfect for industrial sewing machines! That's sewing-related, isn't it?

Edit to add: Jeanette, take care and I hope the procedure is a big success.

I gifted myself about 8 yards of Christmas fabric and 2 spools of thread. Of course they were labeled to be from DH but he's working 7 days a week so I bought for myself. I was impressed with both his thoughtfulness and generosity. He was relieved I'd bought for everyone including me. Fabric was on sale and thread I found when digging out other presents - I presume it's from our summer vacation together as it's King Tut thread which happens to be my favorite to use.
