yeah, I have that too, I'm quite tall and I hate my daughters cheapo modern Singer with a passion for just that, well and several other reasons. I think the Singer label is blasphemy on that machine

what a wonderful discussion! I am reading with great interest and will post all sorts of photos of gears, chain attachments, and whatever else you would like to see. I am still highest bidder....12$ plus shipping!

I like the slant, too. It's easier to see the work because the needle bar is slightly further back and out of the way. I'm short -- it's probably even more helpful to tall people.

The 600 T&S machines still have metal gears. They have the stupid bobbin winder built in though. Maybe this one will be the best of both worlds. I would love to see the insides of it. I like the slant machines. I have neck and shoulder problems and those machines don't seem to do me in. Maybe it is why I like the clone and Singer 15s, too. I love it when I can see the needle with out ducking my head.

Sorry to hear that! That's what makes auctions so frustrating to me. I usually only do buy it nows, I bond too fast

Oh my goodness! Don't worry about us. We were just chatting and wondering... we hadn't bonded with her. You've already put out the sewing machine siren call though. You'll have another one, or a similar one pop up soon.
