Is this ever fun! I belly dance, have a greyhound & occasionally help with GPA-MN, read daily, quilt, help with the Upper Midwest Woodcarvers & Quilt Expo, knit, spend too much time on the computer, try to keep up with archaeology, paleontology & general science matters. While my machine collecting may be at a stand still, I enjoy all of you on QB.

Here is a youtube of a sock knitting machine in operation. they are fun, but can have a steep learning curve to making a heel & toe successfully. After you learn, it becomes smooth sailing. Never thought I would have more than one machine, but its like SMAD, they start multipling! Mine are all antiques, but I know of 2 companies that are making new ones......1 in New Zealand and 1 in Cape Girardeau, MO.

I forgot this one. My husband @ I have a muscle car that we go on car cruises and to car shows. Of course in Minnesota that is only in the summer. The "baby" stays covered up in a shed during the winter.
In case any of you are car buffs - She is a 1967 red Super Sport SS 396. We had one just like it the second year of our marriage.
Thanks everyone for sharing your other hobbies.

I have abandoned most of my other hobbies besides quilting. I have done refinishing of cabinets and furniture. I used to do a lot of crochet(thread and yarn) and some knitting...Carpal tunnel and Arthur stopped that. Have done fabric painting and tole painting(still have a stash of paint waiting for me). Helped DM do macrame. Had large gardens and lots of canning...Family illness, farming, and mainly Arthur's visit took that off the list. Have a huge yard, but cannot keep up with flower beds, so have reverted to mostly perenials. The funny thing is that I haven't completely given up on any of it...still have all patterns and books, yarns(with ufo's), paint, etc. Books have to be added to that!
