thanks folks.
BTW I found this site which allows you to calculate for yourself "What a price in the year XXXX is in the year XXXX
http://www.minneapolisfed.org/commun...c/hist1800.cfm
For example: if this machine is an 1867 G&B #27 it originally cost $120. That translates to $2,028 in today's money

update: Cathy(Mizkaki) was kind enough to donate a parlor treadle mounting bracket, so I was able to rig this up.
Here is the bracket and pedal mounted to a 1/4" board installed.

It only uses the original holes to secure to the board to the treadle so I am not making any new holes.

The only issue is that the foot pedal and the drive wheel are at 90deg to one another. Because of this I have to fabricate an adapter that works similar to my Politype with the same configuration. This and the fabrication of a wooden pitman is this weekend. updates to follow.

solved the issue last night!
Here is the 1st pass at making the hinged pitman. It allows the foot pedal and the drive wheel to work even though they are at 90 degrees to one another.

here is a closeup of the hinge mechanism

and never being one to be satisfied with "it works" as long as there is an opportunity to make it prettier...
I decided to trim the pitman to a more curvaceous shape more in keeping with the swoopie nature of the machine itself.

NOW she is ready for Cathy(Mizkaki) to visit tonight. We are going to work on making her sew tonight!!
