where is the best place to sell a vintage machine?

I don't need to set up an account to see "sold" listings. I start at http://www.ebay.com/sch/ebayadvsearch after putting the key words in -- e.g.- "pfaff 1222e" scroll to
Search including
Title and description
Completed listings
Sold listings
Click in box to left of "Sold listings" to make a check mark in that box.
Click on blue "Search" button and it should bring up something like https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw...ete=1&_fosrp=1
If it was a "Buy it Now" it will have the green amount with a strikethrough and say "best offer accepted" but will not give what that amount was.
Also, some may have additional "goodies" such as manual and feet and will sometimes just be a part for said machine or give a completely different number. There is also a lot of misinformation on there. Another example would be https://www.ebay.com/p/PFAFF-1222E-V...Made/666639993 and you would think the review is for a 1222e, however, either the review is for a different Pfaff or the "service man" hasn't done his research as the 1222, let alone 1222e probably wasn't even being thought of as of 1962. I think they may have been sold in Germany in the very late 1960s and from what I think I remember reading was didn't make it to USA until late 1969 to 1970.
As bkay said "Generally speaking, Ebay prices are higher than local pricing" It doesn't include information about sellers who didn't pack correctly and was received in different shape than advertised and had to refund $$$. There are horror stories all over the internet about machines not being packed correctly.
Prices vary greatly no matter where. Lots of factors enter into purchasing and selling.
