For Christmas last year my SOL gave me a vintage Singer still in its original case. I'm not sure what year it is but it has the gold lettering in great condition. He said he picked it up at a flea market. I love it! He's so good to me, more like a son . He lost his mother some many years ago.

In my new sewing room I'm going to put up a heavy duty shelf along one wall to display my favorite machines. Here's what I use book cases for - sorry it's sideways.

Ha! I met my husband at a used bookstore. He is now a phil prof and reads 7 languages. To say we have books is an understatement. : )
Besides the 13 double stacked ones at home, he has 2 offices and a large library carrel. I can't blame it all on him - I have quite a few of my own on those home shelves. The last bookshelf added was for fabric, however. : )
