    Default will feather weight fit in treadle cabinet

    i purchased a old treadle machine in a very nice cabinet but machine has lots of missing parts so im thinking about trying to find another head that fits my cabinet that has all its parts but i was wondering if i dont get a treadle machine will a feather weight fit in my cabinet any info would be appreciated

    It won't fit in the existing hole but lots of other vintage machines will.

    No it won't...It is too small...There are tables that were made for the FW's but they are scarce and expensive. I have seen some tables that were made by hubbies for their quilting wives like us ....

    its too small and it also doesn't have any holes in the back of the machine to mount onto the cabinet's hinge pins.
    You need a card table meant for a Featherweight, I own such and table & I like it. They're not a rare item.

    Thanks for info I am torn between wanting a feather weight or trying to find a treadle that works my gut instinct. Says go with with feather weight and forget about the treadle. But I'm still not sure which way I want to go
