Cool Wooden base for vintage machines?

Is anyone making a base for sewing machines? I have several that came with just the machine and I'd love to have a reproduction box to set them in. Information anyone? And my 185Js would look so much better in a wooden base instead of that icky plastic.

I believe that Joe Miller has a tutorial on making a reproduction box.

On ebay I put in 'vintage wooden sewing machine box' and about five down is a box with parts to an old telephone. They have it as sewing machine parts.
