The Scrappy Bargello is strip pieced and then cross cut. You line up the different value scrap strips and sew them into a block, then cross cut. I learned this technique at my guild (Dorinda Evans), but there are probably tutorials online. You sew strips, not little squares. Mine was done with 2" strips.

A very creative use of scraps that resulted in a wonderful and eye appealing pattern. Who would have thunk? LOL

My favorite is the reds. There is a block I haven’t made and would like to give them a try. One on the bottom left . The economy center, HST corners with the 4 Tri Recs. Maybe it’s the color placement that makes it look different as in the case of the top right and left Star blocks. This one really peaks my interest.
