Here is a picture of my fabric cabinet that my boyfriend and I made to house my fabrics. I started color coding them in each basket. The cabinet has 36 baskets with the last shelf holding odd and ends of large amounts of fabric. I think I need another one as this one is full and I have a few more bins full of fabric.

I just wanted to share -- I was awwwwing over a lot of sewing rooms. Maybe I might have time to clean mine and take pictures too!

That is awesome!!! Did you design it? Can't wait to see all of it when it's done.

Yes I did design it. I decided on the basket size and started with that. Then I decided where I wanted it to sit in my lil shop and then decided on the demensions. I have used the pattern for the doors on a dinning room hutch we made and just enlarged them to fit the cabinet. Build it. Sanded it. and Stained it.

I do have to say we make a good team on making things together. He's a keeper!!!

    Thanks everyone.

Not only do I quilt but I do have my very on wood working tools, and i paint, crochet, cross stitch, bake, garden, fish, camp and knit and on top of all this I have three kids almost all grown and I do still work a full time job as on office manager/accountant. I have to have something in my hands doing something at all times. Never enough time in a day to get everything I want done but oh well there is always tomorrow. I would love to retire and be a stay at home person so I can sew all that fabric into nice quilts. lol Until then I will just keep adding to my stash so that I can have stuff to do when I retire.
