Final Frontier-my first Star Quilt
Since March 9 I've been obsessed with this quilt. I bought fabric, some in FQs some in yardage, on that
Friday, & started it on Sat. Some of my stash went into this quilt, but mostly new purchases. I'm too impatient for paper-piecing, so my center isn't exact, but I made a coin & appliqued it on top of the wonky center. I know it isn't show-quality, but the colors are pleasing to me. I finished the flimsy on March 31, but I haven't sandwiched it yet. I do have the back made, all but a small center panel from the new yardage. It's about 42" square & I haven't decided if I'll keep it or give it my younger daughter, who likes wild colors as much as I do.

Thank you. Yes the background for the rockets is black. I think of it as my Doctor Who fabric, which I bought in every color I found. It reminds me of the opening sequences of the various Doctors’ episodes. I made a Fibonacci sequence quilt from that a few years ago.
