My son has been sewing a lot and yesterday remembered he missed one of the ( nieces) for a quilt, so he came up with a plan - I asked if he was running low on any colors—- and packaged up 2 new boxes of fabric for him- about 15 more yards GONE from my shelves., yea!
he also mentioned he was looking at a 10* wedge ruler and thinks he wants one— well, ok- I happen to have one, and the circle quilts book and a couple other patterns that use it, all still brand new- the ruler has never been out of its package and I bought it about 4 years ago- time for it to find a ( useful home) so another package on the way and a space emptied on the book shelf
he had to send me a picture of his ( new safety gear) after breaking a needle that flew toward his face.
he is really enjoying this creative journey

right, because they aren’t listening to the ( quilt police rules) they dive in and do what appeals to them. He loves playing with illusions and is always trying new things.

Four lap quilts were delivered to the nursing home yesterday, and 2 more were completed today. That's at least 12 yards out of our stash! We added to it today by purchasing many sheets at a thrift store, but I see most of them going into these lap quilts.
